Elementary ESL Services
Pull-out ESLPull-out ESL happens an your child's school. It is for students whose English proficiency is at a 1, 2, and sometimes 3 based on their most recent WIDA or WIDA Screener score. Pull-out ESL is 1-2 times per week, for 30-45 minutes, depending on your child's needs. We work with National Geographic's REACH Curriculum, among other resources. We focus on activities and tasks that promote reading, speaking, writing, and listening skills to improve your child's English proficiency. If, at any point, we decide that your child needs less support, you will be notified.

Push-in SupportPush-in support happens in your child's classroom, 1-2 times per week, with an ESL paraprofessional. This allows for your child to receive additional support without missing any valuable class time. This is for students whose English proficiency is at a 3 or 4, based on their most recent WIDA or WIDA Screener score. This service is on an as-needed basis, and may change if we feel that your child needs less or more support.

Monitoring & ConsultationMonitoring and consultation means that we check in periodically on your child's progress and academic success in the classroom. We collaborate with his or her classroom teacher(s), check grades and test scores, check writing prompts, etc., to make sure that he or she is progressing well without additional ESL support. This is for students with an English proficiency of 4, 5, or 6, based on their most recent WIDA or WIDA Screener score.
